Stretch the limits and discover new uses for renewable plant-based materials! Our Forest Renewable Materials/Science and Engineering (AS) degree will help you understand renewable materials and explore ways to implement them in everyday applications. You’ll learn through woodshops, labs, climate rooms, and even our earthquake testing room! The hands-on coursework will introduce you to many materials including bamboo, canes, and agricultural fibers and explain the current issues associated with their utilization such as global trade, energy, and environmental protection. We have made it easy for you to continue toward a bachelor’s degree with coursework easily transferred to Oregon State University’s College of Forestry.
