Our Veterans Coordinator Shana Brazil has worked with students at our college for 14 years. She’s here to help you with everything you need. Our veterans services office provides a safe place for you to find answers to your questions and connect with services you need to learn and gain career training.

We’re your first stop

Find your community

SWOCC also is home to the Veteran's Resource Center on its Coos Campus. The center is located in Randolph Hall in a perfect environment for veterans to study, relax, and reconnect with fellow veterans.

We also have a Veteran's Club that encourages and supports a strong peer to peer relationship between veteran students. Members also help develop, support and volunteer for community projects that focus on veterans and community members in need.

Please come visit our Veteran Resource Center. We want to get to know you!

Eric Gleason/U.S. Navy veteran

'Even if you think you can't do it - try'

It's not easy for veterans to come back to regular life at home. When Eric Gleason left the U.S. Navy in 2007, he went to work in a casino. Then he worked as a welder until he hurt his shoulder. Unable to work, he was super depressed. His wife (then girlfriend) told him to go to school.
