Southwestern Oregon Community College is excited to offer a new online Career Pathway Certificate in Supervision. This training can be completed in just two terms.

The certificate in Supervision prepares people for careers in supervision and management. It is designed for those who are interested in becoming an entry level supervisor. If you are already working in the field of management, this training will further your business knowledge and skills, and help you explore your interests and goals for the future.

Students will learn the newest supervisory and management skills including: communication, conflict resolution, leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, time and priority management, diversity and generational differences in the workplace, and problem solving. The courses also provide a good introduction to the realities of business. Students will participate in online management simulations where they will role play strategies to motivate employees, and work through morale and ethical decision-making processes. The goal is to train supervisors to become more effective team players, and acquire the skills to effectively supervise people.
