Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Pre-Apprenticeship program SWOCC Works will be holding orientation and registration events at both Coos and Curry campuses during the week of September 16, 2024.

The Pre-Apprenticeship program is an introduction to construction and heavy equipment operation, including simulated heavy equipment operation and tools of the trade. We teach foundational safety and career readiness skills alongside foundational trade and industry skills. Participants build a minimum of two projects during the course. The program is open to anyone who is 16 or older, is free, and lasts 22 weeks (two terms).

COOS CAMPUS: 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay

Monday, September 16, 2024: 9:00 am-11:30 am and 12:30 pm-3:00 pm

Thursday, September 19, 2024: 4:00 pm-7:00 pm

CURRY CAMPUS: 96082 Lone Ranch Parkway, Brookings

Tuesday, September 17, 2024: 10:00 am-1:00 pm and 3:00 pm-6:00 pm
